Salvation

Exodus 14:13

“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation
of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have
seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.”

Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord!  This is a scripture we all have heard quoted many times. Often times we are over come with fear, as the children of Israel were, while they were being pursued by the Egyptians.  But though some began to mummer and complain, Moses faith in God was firmly in place and he knew that God would deliver them out of the hands of the enemy.

With God on our side, we should have nothing to fear, he says to stand still…meaning to stop what we are doing, and trust Him to do what he has to do.  So often we are faced with circumstances that may cause us fear, heaviness, and disappointments on many different levels.  Instead of us immediately taking it to God, we try to solve it on our own, often making an already bad situation even worse.  If we have faith, we need to believe that no matter what it looks like, or even how it may feel, that God will see us through.

Salvation means the act of saving or protecting from harm, risk, loss and destruction.  So if we stand still, and believe, we will be victorious.  We know that we are under his divine protection, and no harm will come to us; we know that loss and destruction cannot touch us.  Believing is our faith activated; then we can say with boldness; “The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.” (Exodus 15:2).

Our enemies can no longer touch us!  He says that they will again see them no more.  What comfort we have in knowing that no matter what, because of the salvation of the Lord, we do not have to be concerned about the enemy no matter what form he may come in.  My prayer for today; Father cause us to be courageous, that we may fear not.  In the midst of whatever we may go through that we are able to stand still, so that we too may see your salvation.  And we shall trust and believe that under your protection, that the enemy cannot touch us any more, In Jesus name I pray, amen!
