God’s Word is True

Revelation 21:5-7
5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

In revelations 21:5-7, He (God) is speaking and assuring John that His words are true and faithful.  Whenever something is faithful, it is considered authentic, accurate, or believable.  It is done, meaning it shall come to pass, there is no doubt that what He says will happen, shall indeed happen…Then he reiterates the fact that He is the Alpha and the Omega…the beginning and end of all; and to those that thirst of the fountain of water of life, he will give it unto us freely; and for all that overcome, as His children we shall inherit that which is of our father.

The promise of salvation to all who believes in Him…All he ask is that we believe, and when we thirst, meaning desiring to learn and live His word; actively making it a part of our lives.  We partake of His fruits; and the fruit of His spirit does good works through us, but we have to be willing.  He offers the water of life freely, won’t you partake of it?  Don’t you desire to be called son by the one true God; to inherit all things…?  Are you willing to learn of His word, having faith that his word is indeed true?  For He sat upon the throne and said, “write for these words are true and faithful”; God’s word is true.

My prayer for today father, help us be ye doers of your word and not hearers only.  Let your word be made manifest in our lives that we are able to overcome all adversity so that we may receive our inheritance of you our father.  Lord, help us be submissive to Your will and not our own, in Jesus name, amen.
