The Strong Arm of God

Psalm 89:10
Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.

Just as the strong arm destroyed Rahab; that same strong arm of God would do the same for His children today.  We should always remember that God protects his own…He will come to our rescue if we call upon Him. Exodus 14:14 states “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”  We have to be careful of how we handle the situations we are faced with.  We cannot confess faith, and when we come face to face with the enemy we try to do battle on our own; this is why the scripture says for us to hold our peace; meaning trust and believe that God is more than able to fight the battle for you.

The scripture states that thine enemies were scattered…When I think upon this, I imagine being in a war and witnessing my enemy retreating, because he knows he has taken on more than he can handle.  The enemy has no choice but to run when he knows that it is God he is up against; he knows that this is a battle he cannot win because he is already defeated.  We have to come and know with full understanding that there is nothing too big for God, He sits high and looks low, there is nothing that can escape Him unless he so chooses.

Knowing that God is all powerful and being armored with the shield of faith, we know that our victory is sure in God!  “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” (1 John 5:4).  My prayer today is for all of us that may be going through, no matter what the affliction may be that God sends his Strong Arm to deliver you from your enemies.  I pray that your enemies will be scattered and to never return again, and while God is working in your favor, that you faith be increased and you hold your peace, in Jesus name, amen!
