What God has for You is for You
There is a spirit that is sweeping the nation…. This spirit wants for God’s children to become stagnate. It wants to deceive us and cause us to believe a lie over the truth. It tells you to be quiet when God says to speak and it wants you to be still when God says to move. This spirit wants to kill, steal and destroy God’s children. God forbid that any of us should operate in this spirit of deception.
Let’s examine this spirit of Jealousy! When the spirit of jealousy is present, it often brings other spirits with it…Such as strife, hatred, emulations (competition) and envy to mention a few… Now in Galatians 5:19-21, it refers to these spirits as works of the flesh, so we know that anyone that allows themselves to be used by these spirits are operating in the flesh, which has nothing to do with God; for the word of God states that those that operate in the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:21).
I believe the most prevalent symptom we see from this spirit today within the church is competition. We cry unity, but how can there be unity when we are competing with one another. “Our church is bigger”, “I have more sheep in my flock”, “our worship service is more anointed than theirs”, “the spirit of God really moves in my church” and let’s not forget “Can’t nobody preach like my pastor.” Seriously??? Are we forgetting that it is not about us, but about God! I have personally witness a beautiful message be delivered, and to later be a witness to someone else totally discredit the message itself. Do we not realize that it is not the individual that is being attacked, but the Holy Spirit itself? This jealousy is very dangerous…Let us not forget this is why God kicked Lucifer out of heaven!
Often times God will raise an individual up to start ministering His word, and some may not like it, because they feel they have been in the ministry longer, and this other person has not paid his or her due. This spirit should have no place amongst God’s children; we must realize, God’s timing is not our timing…It is not about what we want, but about what God has ordained by His spirit. If he put His word on the inside of a toddle that can barely talk…who are we to question this? It’s the flesh that refuse to accept what God is calling and appointing. This is why it’s so vitally important for us to put our flesh under submission daily, so that the Holy Spirit can lead us in everything… Then we give no room for jealousy to rise up within us, and only then we obtain the confidence in knowing what God has for you, it is for you! We all have our part in God’s ministry; do not let jealousy cause you to miss what God has for you…
My prayer for today: Lord I pray in sincerity, asking that your children examine their ways. Lord let us not operate in the spirit of jealousy, but cause us to continually put our flesh under submission, so that your Holy Spirit will lead us in ways of righteousness, let us, every one of us, receive what you have for us in our callings, and that we only operate in the fruits of Your spirit… in Jesus name, Amen!
