An Intimate Relationship

That feeling you get when you love someone so much, that you never get tired of talking about him/her; because at some point that individual was the center of your universe. Yea, I believe we have all felt that way at some point in our lives, whether it was that first crush, a significant other or spouse. Well this is the feeling I have concerning God. When you realize that the love you felt or feel from those individuals doesn’t even begin to compare to the love of God.

We love him, because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19).

Remembering a time when you was maybe not that lovable, because you were not that nice of a person. A time when you were so self-centered that nothing else mattered unless it somehow, some way, form or fashion pertained to or benefited you. A time when you realized that no matter how deep in the mess you were in that He never left you or forsake you. But the person that was the center of your universe did. Yes, that moment when the light bulb went off and you realized that this Omnipresent, Omnipotent power that we know as Jesus was right there present when everyone else wasn’t. Yes, He loves/loved us, when perhaps no one else bothered to even take notice. That moment when you no longer knew of Him, but you became conscious of Him in such a way where it seemed as if the universe has stopped for a moment.

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. (Psalm 34:8).

That moment when you and He become intimate and develop a relationship and every other connection seems so pale in comparison to this bond; this bond you realize cannot be broken unless “you” walk away from it. Though He will still be there waiting for you to return unto Him… Remember He never leaves or forsakes us. He is always there, we can talk to Him at any time about anything and He never gets tired of us. Yes, He is worthy of being the center of our universe, because His love is love perfected. He is worthy of praise, glory and honor. I cannot talk about Him and write of His goodness enough. He is my center…for everything we do we should do it unto Him. (Colossians 3:22).

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. (Deuteronomy 31:6).

I pray that everyone today that read this be reminded of our Protector. The selfless act of love of Him dying on the cross; He did it for us. Blessing us with the Gift of His Holy Spirit, that leads us and guides us in pathways of righteousness. Forever present…He is. Lord in the name above all names, the name of Christ Jesus, I pray that the readers relationship becomes even more intimate with You, I pray that some relationships are restored in You and that those who may not know you, come to know you this day, and forever more. Amen!

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (Jeremiah 29:11).
