Let Us Hear
“Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.” (Ezekiel 33:1-5).
My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war. (Jeremiah 4:19).
Are we hearing the sound of the trumpet today? Are we really paying attention to the warning that are going forth? The Word of God gives us instructions as well as warnings, this is why it is a necessity for us to study and show ourselves approved unto God, and not man. Many feel as though they have to prove themselves to man where as this becomes a form of vanity. God want us to study and show ourselves approved unto Him. The way we do that is by how we live; are we truly applying the Word of God to every aspect of our lives? Are we flaunting our knowledge before man (vain glory) or are we living His Word? This is why we must examine ourselves daily.
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? (2 Corinthians 13:5).
We must not compromise the Word of God, to suit our situations or agendas. Though the world may change and the laws thereof; God’s Word remains the same. While we may have to accept the laws of the land, we do not or should not have to participate in them. How do you grant liberty to one group of people while taking it away from another? These things that are taking place in this nation is all signs…and the watchman are speaking out loud, sounding the alarms, but sadly many are refusing to hear. This too is written: “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.” (Romans 1:21-28).
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine (2 Timothy 4:2).
God loves us so much that it is written all throughout the Scriptures. He instructs us because He loves us. He corrects us because He loves us. He warns us, because He loves us. He chastens us, because He loves us. He forgives us because He loves us. He is longsuffering with us because He loves us. His desire is that none should perish. He is Love…He is Love personified…My prayer today is that we hear what the spirit of the Lord is saying to the church in this hour and give us boldness to rebuke every lying spirit that is trying to compromise His Word. Lord let us remember that you are the Way, the Truth, and the Life and there is no other way to the Father except through You. I pray that Your truth will be revealed unto all and quickens us with a heart of repentance. I ask this all in the name above all names, the name of Jesus Christ, amen!
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9).
