A Father’s Love

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. (Isaiah 1:18).” Imagine your dad telling you I see you doing wrong, but if you choose to stop, I will forgive you and all will be forgotten. This is what the Lord is saying to us: You can continue in your sin or you can stop for you already know it is the right thing to do; if you stop sinning, I will wash you, and all of your sins will be forgotten and you will be made clean for you will be forgiven. This is the love that only a true father can offer his child; He is longsuffering, He is meek(gentle; kind) like only a father can when it comes to his children. He is the perfect role model we have whom teaches us how to forgive one another.

And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. (Luke 17:4).

The key word is repent! It is so important to repent, and when we do so it is saying to God, I am sorry. It is an acknowledgement that you have committed an offense before the Lord. Thankfully He is so gracious to forgive us, for He doesn’t want to see any of us perish by giving us ample time and numerous opportunities to do right by Him. And only if we would realize when we do right by Him, we are also do right by ourselves. I am so thankful that my Father forgives us even in our ignorance. I say ignorance, because many do not even realize their sin or that they are in bondage. Either they haven’t been taught or the enemy have blinded them. This happens when you become so deep in your sin, that the enemy has convinced you that you are ok with where you are at. The bondage is that you are now blind to sin and have become one with it. Not the best situation to be in, but God…His arm is stretched out still…A fathers love…

With a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm: for his mercy endureth for ever. (Psalms 136:12).

I am so thankful and overjoyed because I know where I would be if it had not be for God’s grace. His mercies are new every morning. When you know that you at one time were so deep in sin, and it is only because you chose to repent, and strived daily to do better, but also acknowledge that you cannot do it on your own. It is because of the Comforter; the Holy Spirit is with you, always there to nudge you when your flesh may want to become weak. It nudges you and urges if not command that you do what is good and acceptable. Are we always successful..No..but should we always be repentant, Yes! Yes Lord… We say Yes to You Lord! We say yes to Your will, Your way.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (John14:26).

Lord give us a heart of repentance and of forgiveness, in Jesus name, Amen!
