Faithfully Blessed
A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.
Proverbs 28:20
What defines a faithful person? In layman terms we could say, “having someone’s back, that friend that sticks closer than a brother, the spouse that has eyes only for the one he is betrothed to, the employee that will never steal out the cash register or even the child that will never disobey his or her parents. All these examples represent the term well enough, however, I believe that most notable form of the word “faithful” would best be defined as being completely sold out to God. Unwavering faith and devotion in honoring His Word by obeying His Word. In this, I do believe we not only become whole, but faithfully blessed.
The Lord render to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness; for the Lord delivered thee into my hand to day, but I would not stretch forth mine hand against the Lord’s anointed.
1 Samuel 26:23
In our faithfulness to our Lord, we must remain mindful in how we treat people. Honoring God is honoring our word to our brothers and sisters. Foremost, I feel there is a great work to be done within the Body of Christ… The Word of God does states, “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” (1 Peter 4:17). Our Christianity in some instances has become tainted with statuses and edifices, causing a falling away from our first love. We have become more faithful to a form of godliness, by denying His power. We, as a body of believers have got to get back in position and remember why we were created in the first place, and that is to serve God. We were created for His pleasure, not our own. This is not to say He does not want us to prosper or be happy, of course He desires for us to have a good life, but we must remember to be charitable at the same time. Proverbs 11:25 says, “The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.” This, I do believe speaks volumes!
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Revelations 4:11
A phrase I use often, “when we know better, we should do better”. I stand in judgement of no one. This is a self-examination process for everyone, I myself included. Are we truly being faithful to God by applying His Word to our lives? He is a merciful God, full of grace which is indeed, abundant… He is and has been long-suffering to each of us on so many countless occasions, yet still… Still, so many refuses to humble themselves under His mighty hand and fully surrender unto His will. Let us no longer be the one who answers the call to a stranger’s voice, but only to the One True Living God, who offers each of us a simple request, simply saying; come… Let us this day not choose to just be blessed, but faithfully blessed.

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
