Why is it that we say we all serve the same God, the one true living God, the only One where it is written saying, with Him “there is no respect of persons”, yet still we are allowing the enemy to divide us. We serve the same God, but we just can’t come together…Churches are talking about one another, because many are seeking followers of self and not necessarily followers of our Lord Jesus. Are our eyes open, are our ears really hearing what the Spirit of the Lord is saying …? Are we building kingdoms for ourselves or for the Kingdom of God? Are we operating in a spirit of pride or a spirit of humility…? Are we talking about people or are we praying for them?
Ok, so you’re a Prophet, Apostle, Evangelist, Teacher or Pastor; not one of those titles make you better than anyone else, for God sees you the same as that homeless man that has a prayer life in-spite of his circumstance. When are we going to realize that we are the church…Not the building, not the huge edifices that many have built for themselves…You are the church…Can we agree to pray for unity in the Body of Christ, being certain that this is indeed the body we are a part of…The word of God tells us to “examine ourselves”; but we have grown accustomed to examining everyone except ourselves. We call ourselves Christians, yet we are knowingly being rude to one another, we have stank, yes, I said stank superior attitudes towards one another, and it ought not to be so. “If a man says, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?” (1 John 4:20)
Ephesians 4:16-18 reads, “From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. (17)This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, (18)Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.” Let’s look at these three scriptures… Verse 16 says that we are a body of believers, all professing to be of the same body; the body of Christ, fitly joined, because every part of the body contributes based on the measure thereof adds to the edifying and it’s all done in “love”. Then we look at verse 17 saying, from this moment forward we can no longer do what the heathen do, walking around all puffed up in a spirit of haughtiness; and finally, verse 18 says our understanding has been tainted with darkness and has alienated us from God, because we have refused to get a understanding and our hearts are now blinded by the darkness we have allowed into our lives.
So, I ask again, what body are we all really a part of? Because once we truly come to the saving knowledge of God and His will, it is no longer about us…Our lives are dedicated to pleasing God and not our flesh. We will love our brothers and sisters because the love of God is on the inside of us and we have surrendered our life to be a servant to Him. Willfully working with the other members, fitly joined because we know that we cannot do it by ourselves and most importantly, that what we choose to do and say does not just affect us. So again, I petition the Body of Christ…Let us come together and work together and pray for one another…and most importantly love one another in the spirit of truth, as Christ love the church…Remembering we are the church!
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.
