Read the Book
Though I may soon come across as harsh, I am realizing that this world is sometimes simply just that, harsh! How many times do you need to read the cover of a book to figure out what’s on the inside. Is the cover embossed with a simple title, or does it have some elaborate design or picture to accompany it? What’s really on the inside of the book? What first appears to us seems to be attractive in all it’s intricate boldness to catch our eyes, but I have now come to the conclusion that we must read the contents if we desire to have the full story revealed to us. Read the book!
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2 Timothy 3:1-5
Believe what you read! We are indeed living in times where men and women are becoming lovers of themselves; where self-centeredness has become the norm. Many are coveting that which belongs to another, having no conscious of the error of their ways. We no longer understand humility, for we boast of what we have and yes don’t have; for the love of material things and status has taken precedence over humanity. Pride tells us that we have done no wrong hence, repentance is never visited or acted upon. Children are dishonoring their parents and refusing to receive counsel from them. The world teaches them to become unthankful and unholy, by contorting that which is good and acceptable unto God, their creator.
Then we have the agenda trolls…. Those for the sake of their own selfish desires, who feign friendships built on false affections to obtain their own self-seeking goals; with no thought to the hurt they may inflict on another. Full of false promises for they speak a word with the intent of never honoring that word. Spewing hurt and pain in a slew of arrogance, for some how they have deemed themselves superior, when the very simple truth is they don’t like anything that is good and aim to kill, steal and destroy that which is good. This entity which will never appreciate the good in you for it has exalted itself above all…It thrives on the pleasures of this world more than the things of God; and we must flee from such. For it was sent for the sole purpose of destroying you.
Do not allow people to leech off you until you are left with nothing to stand on. Don’t allow them to pull from you until you are drained of all life and no longer able to take care of yourself. Believe the report of the Lord, and not the lies of the enemy. Learn to say No, and yes only when the Lord tells you to say yes. People will treat you how you allow them to treat you…Stop allowing your goodness to be taken for granted. Know your worth and know that you are loved even if it appears that you are standing alone. For you are never alone, when the world is against you, know with blessed assurance that God is standing with you. I’d rather stand in this world alone with a host of angels all around me, than to stand with any man whose only means is to bring forth harm. Be encouraged…For though it may seem you are alone and forsaken, know that God will always be with you; amen!
